WHAT, you ask, is happening at the EveNSteve studio??
LOTS! After a few material delays, in August we were finally able to mount our Hayfield Art Gallery exhibition for 2026-2027: Love is a Story, which is inspired by the recent marriage of our daughter Greta to her fiancee Steven. Romantic love is an emotion that virtually every human being experiences, yet it remains an elusive one to encapsulate, because our experience of it is ever-changing. This series of monumental outdoor artworks traces the five stages of a relationship, exploring the often conflicting emotions involved. We hope you’ll have a chance to drive by and see it.
And because the wedding took place next to the studio, we took the opportunity to drastically overhaul our studio grounds and building! The original Indian Hill Gallery construction- which transformed a dirt-floor, 1800s-era sheep barn into the three level studio, gallery and display space- took place in 2001, so it was time: we removed overgrowth, painted, repaired and generally spiffed up our whole look.
Recent trips throughout the summer have provided photographing opportunities for a whole slew of new works, currently in production, and with plans to be finished throughout the fall and winter.
